DRAY single-vineyard wines from Robinson Vineyard
About DRAY
DRAY began in 2025 as a study of Robinson Vineyard and how its individual blocks are expressed in wine. Named after the low, strong carts traditionally used to carry wine barrels, it acknowledges the labour of bringing wine from vineyard to bottle.
Robinson Vineyard lies at approximately 48 metres above sea level on a northerly aspect in the warmer, drier north of the Mornington Peninsula. Its mature vines grow in sandy loam over clay, with Tuerong Creek crossing the property.
Each vintage, the blocks that best express the season are bottled separately in limited quantities. The inaugural 2025 release comes from two blocks established by pioneering viticulturist Hugh Robinson.
The Process
The work overlaps across vintages. The 2025 wines will be filtered and bottled in August 2026 after eighteen months in oak. The 2026 wines are now maturing while the vineyard is being pruned for 2027.

The 2025 vintage is offered by pre-release allocation ahead of bottling in August 2026.
2025 Pinot Noir

Reserve allocationUpper MV6 from Robinson Vineyard’s 1997 planting. The block is cane pruned with overlapping canes along the fruiting wire. Red cherry and fine spice lead to a light savoury profile with fine tannins. Made with 10% whole bunch and matured for 18 months in French oak, 20% new, before filtration and bottling.
2025 Chardonnay

Reserve allocationI10V1 from Robinson Vineyard’s 1988 Front Chardonnay planting, among the older Chardonnay plantings on the Mornington Peninsula. The block is cane pruned with arched canes to encourage even budburst. Citrus and white stone fruit sit over a fine restrained line. Lightly raised for 18 months in French oak before filtration and bottling.
